Sidewalks and Stuff

A look at the new entryway and sidewalk drop-off area.

Sidewalks and Blacktop

More cement and blacktop on the docket for today. Crews hurried to get a lot of the cement work done under the threat of rain, and also poured new blacktop next to the drop off area.

Sidewalks and Curbs

A cement crew showed up this morning to pour the curbs for the new drop off area and also a section of sidewalk leading up to the new office entry.

Here's what the curbs look like finished.

And here's the section of sidewalk that was poured before the rain started to fall.

Century 2.2 Building Project

The "2.2" refers to the fact that in 2010 Riverview is working on its second century of existence - and is already in the second decade of that century. "2.2" also refers to the theme scripture of the project - Second Timothy 2.2: "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."

The Century 2.2 Project will provide handicapped access throughout our facilities, increase foyer space, provide more classroom space with greater flexibility, improve overall building security, add fire sprinkler service to the entire building, and lay the ground-work for increasing the size of our Fellowship Hall and the updating of our kitchen facilities.
