Sheetrock

Korey Kern screws sheetrock in place in the new lift. Notice all the dust in the air captured by the camera.

Kerry Kern cuts the sheetrock to size and feeds the pieces in to Korey.

Mike Protelsch stands on scaffolding to attach pieces of sheetrock to the harder to reach areas of the lift shaft.

The elevator shaft in the new building has now been completely sheetrocked.

Progress...

The sprinkler system that was installed in the sanctuary has been painted. While the pipes are still visible, they now blend in nicely with the woodwork.

The ceiling of the second floor of the addition has been completely sheetrocked.

Day 36

By Monday, almost the entire second story of the addition had been walled in.

The storage closet in the basement has been removed to make way for the new lift.

Construction: Days 14 & 15

The site has been completely backfilled as of Day 15. The stacks of concrete blocks are for the exterior (above ground) walls.

Another picture of the backfilled work site. The location of the elevator is on the lower left. The "tent" on the left hand side is where the builders are currently working, laying blocks to create the southern wall of the new addition.

Ceiling panels are removed in the Nursery Wing for inspections and to make plans for the church's new sprinkler system.

Construction: Day 12

Prepping for more concrete blocks.




















Waterproofing the concrete blocks after they have been cemented in place. These blocks will be buried underground, so it is important that they remain free of moisture.






The footings are closed to finished. Backfilling will begin this week.
